DIY GRASPS
1. Select a text inspired by our "mind-map" of ideas
2. Create an "open response" and develop an artist statement in which you demonstrate your mastery of interpreting literature.
3. "The old switcheroo": We will do a "blind exchange" of our works, and you will have a peer's "open response." Create a new "open response" inspired by your peer's work. (You will not know the text that your peer selected.)
4. Distribution of texts: Now that you have all of the texts that we selected (though you do not know who selected which text), choose a text and create a third "open response."
5. Develop a reflection of your process. Consider the work you created and the collaborative process.
