Honors
A few updates regarding class progress and what is happening tomorrow:
1.Argument of Definition Writing Timed (partial) essay. (20 minutes)
You can use the criteria-based definitions you developed in class and on your own.
As this is the first timed writing assessment, the expectation is not to write a complete essay but an introduction that clearly states your criteria-based definition (courage or responsibility) you choose) + 2 body paragraphs. In the body paragraphs, like the practice essay you wrote, you need to develop a sound argument using logical reasoning and examples. The writing task for this requires you to address the excerpt from the text provided in the prompt (Henrietta Lacks or Wes Moore, your choice)
2. Self-Assessment : Writer's Notebook progress (see rubric + reflection below)
You will complete during class and submit with your notebook tomorrow.
3. Annotations (peer review)
I just returned from the Grand Center Arts Academy in St. Louis, where I was part of the Site Visit Team sponsored by St. Louis University. I look forward to seeing all of you tomorrow.
