In class we worked in cooperative groups with ensemble names ("Cool Cats," "Intellectual Killers," "Aces"...) to clarify comprehension of Part I (determine true/false and sort the statements in order by which they occur in the text).
Due Wednesday:
1. Read & Check your understanding of Part II + complete at least 20+ annotations.
*Study/quiz yourself w/ a peer (use study guide)
2. Word Wizards - Vocabulary Practice: add 4 more (12 total in your vocabulary journal)
3. Reader’s Response: Choose…
a. Focused free-write (see prompts) + cite at least 2 examples A.W.E. from F451.
b. Sketch at least 6 frames to “show” what happens + cite page #.
c. Write a poem about the character(s) + plot + conflict: at least 16-20 lines
- Re-think, revise, clarify comprehension of characters, plot in Part I
- Develop understanding of characters, conflict, and plot in Part II and emerging themes
- Apply word wizard strategies to prepare for vocabulary quiz 2.
