1. Read it! SPOTTTS analysis:
explain, interpret your chosen published poem - must include
Step 1: typed SPOTTTS outline includes paraphrase
Step 2: paragraph analysis (at least 200 words)
2. Write it!
- 3-4 original poems, 2 drafts each
- Evidence of revisions at least 2 "Revision Strategies"
-See the Poetry Revision Strategies Menu
- thoughtful reflections of each pair of poems: cite poetic devices and revision strategies in your description of the meaning you intend to express and convey to your reader; you may also explain the inspiration for each poem.
* Poetry Day: Recite it! GRASPS - recite the published poem you selected
Our Poetry Day will take place Thursday, May 22 (college prep) and Friday, May 23 (Honors)
