Thursday we had a collaborative curriculum mapping conversation and "birthed" the idea for our final AP Literature GRASPS.
Moises proposed that we create an "open response" (work of art, poem, piece of music) inspired by a text and pass it on...Then we will each create an "open response" and text response to our peers' response (without reading the work).
I suggested that we brainstorm a list of words/concepts and from this list choose a single word that could then inspire and connect all of our texts.
When we erased all but ten, we then drew connections among three. See our awesome web of ideas below.
You can choose a text inspired by any of the words/concepts/ideas in our web.
*Please read an annotate your chosen text by Monday (for my eyes only). The "open response" and "artist statement" explaining your "open response" and the way you have rendered your interpretation of the text is due Friday, May 23.
On Friday, we will do "the old switcheroo," where we will swap "open responses" and create our own "open response" to what our peer created.
We are drafting ths expectations and rubric for this GRASPS and will have it completed by next week.
